Over the past one and a half year, the people of Gaza have faced significant challenges. The destruction of Gaza's infrastructure had its toll on the supply of food and the provision of medical aid, significantly affecting the food pyramid and the healthcare system, leaving many individuals struggling to meet their daily needs.
PAMA took action in response to the situation by deploying 11 medical missions, involving 72 healthcare professionals who treated over 13,000 patients. In 2025, PAMA plans to continue sending emergency medical teams to deliver essential medical services and supplies amidst the collapse of the healthcare system in Gaza.
The dire situation was evident during the month of Ramadan in 2024. Hunger reached catastrophic levels in northern Gaza, with children dying from starvation and suffering from severe levels of malnutrition. These conditions had been exacerbated by the shortage of medical supplies. PAMA took the initiative to provide lifesaving assistance to the people in Gaza. More than 70,000 iftar meals and 6,000 food baskets were distributed. Additionally, PAMA provided hygiene supplies to over 1,500 individuals.
This Ramadan is no different. PAMA has launched a livelihood initiative - Your zakat-eligible donation. This initiative provides invaluable support to the people in Gaza, allowing individuals to live with dignity and greatly enhance their life quality.
